DUHITA SAMAIYAR

Duhita Samaiyar was born in 1969 in Bangalore. Her artistic journey began with a deep-seated love for nature nurtured during her vacations amidst the enchanting hills of the Western Ghats in Southern India. Her artistic oeuvre beautifully captures the essence of nature, resonating with the atmospheric and richly biodiverse landscapes of her childhood. Through her art, she invites viewers into a world of profound beauty and tranquility.

 

Graduating in June 2018, Duhita has completed a 3 year program at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. She studied the classical, realist methods of the 19th century, drawing inspiration from the great masters of the past and learning the fundamentals of a visual language that developed over centuries.
